The man in charge of the beloit school is in a standoff with the parent who has said he will not stop using his son as a punching bag, and the school is trying to figure out how to handle a violent neighborhood.
On Saturday, the man who lives in the home and who police say is a member of the Black Panthers called 911 to report that someone had shot at his home.
Beloit police said in a news release that the shooter was a masked man who had been acting erratically for a few days.
Police say the masked man shot at the home, but the gunman fled and is now at large.
A neighbor, who spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity, told ABC News that the masked gunman told the neighbor, “I’m going to kill everybody here and then I’m going back to my country and I’m not coming back.”
The neighbor said the masked shooter also told the neighbors he was going to “shoot them in the back of the head.”
The neighbor said he then called police.
Police have not released the name of the masked suspect or his home address.
